Winter Wonderland on Mars❄️ The HiRISE camera aboard NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured these images of sand dunes and craters covered by frost, ice, and snow just after winter solstice. The frost here is a mixture of carbon dioxide (dry) ice and water ice and will disappear in a few months when spring arrives. The Red Planet’s elliptical orbit means it takes many more months for winter to come around: a single Mars year is around two Earth years.

It's not every day that you get to imagine what a store on another planet would look like. A Nike store on Mars! While it may seem like a far-fetched idea, humans have been dreaming of living and working on the red planet for decades. In fact, NASA has already sent rovers to the surface of Mars and SpaceX is planning to send astronauts . But let's not get too ahead of ourselves – for now, we can simply enjoy the idea of shopping for the latest Nike drops on the fourth rock from the sun!
